To celebrate the album release of my debut album Provenance, I met up to jam a couple of tracks from the album with friends. The first, track 9 Chapel in the Wilderness with oboeist Coral Reid (Also featured on the Provenance) and pianist Michael Biggins. The second film is with fellow Chester & the Fog bandmate Kieran Szifris of Monster Ceilidh Band playing track 2, Potters Hay & Morris Dancing, two tunes written by the late Sean Heeley.
Here’s a snippet from my Erasmus audition, when I applied (successfully!) to Sibelius Academy, Finland. There are also two other pieces from my audition video on youtube, both include Finnish tunes and are accompanied by Will Hammond on vibraphone.
Me & my mate Tom McConville performing ‘Clementine’ at a fundraising concert in Alstonefield for The Lisieux Trust.
I had the pleasure of supporting Ron Block & Sierra Hull at The Sage, Gateshead, SummerTyne Americana Festival with Chester & the Fog.
I also occasionally play in a gypsy Jazz duo with Jim Richardson called ‘The Hot Club of Fenham’. Here we are playing the bluegrass classic ‘Orange Blossom Special’.
