Provenance

Official release on Friday 6 July 2018, my debut album ‘Provenance’ draws from traditional music and melodies in and around my home county, Staffordshire. It is themed upon my personal search for provenance, past and present and draws from wider musical interests and influences. Arrangements flourished and were largely completed whilst I studied composition under the guidance of, Finnish composer and pianist, Timo Alakotila in Helsinki.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Ian Stephenson at Simpson Street Studios, in Gateshead and Northumberland. I perform the music and songs with 6 fabulous musicians, using a choice of instruments influenced by a range of sources including eighteenth-century west gallery bands. It plays for 50 minutes and there is a 12 page booklet included, with photos and comments, including provenance of the tracks.

The album in CD format is priced at £12 with free UK postage and payment using PayPal, including credit or debit card payment for non-members, via PayPal’s secure payment link below. No purchases will be accepted for delivery outside the UK, without first messaging me and us agreeing an additional cost.
